When we heard that Mekia Cox had been cast to replace Jessica Parker Kennedy in NBC’s buzzed-about new series, “Undercovers,” we felt we knew her from somewhere… and we did. She played Sasha, Dixon’s older, crazy girlfriend last season on “90210.”
Dixon probably thought he was rid of her after finding out that she was faking her pregnancy and he kicked her to the curb, but now Zap2it exclusively learns that Sasha and all her crazy will be back.
A CW spokesperson confirms that Cox will reprise her role as Sasha in Season 3 and she’ll be rocking Dixon’s (Tristan Wilds) world.
When we last saw the deejay, Sasha donned those pretty loud eighties-inspired shirts and big earrings. When we see her next in the episode airing October 4, Sasha will have taken on a more sophisticated look and she’s back to deliver some shocking news to Dixon.

Though Michael Jackson is gone, the King of Pop will be front and center during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. Not only will his sister Janet make a musical tribute to her brother with a special appearance to help open the show, but we can now reveal that viewers will get their first look at the MJ documentary “This Is It” during the live broadcast, when the trailer premieres on MTV.
Drawn from more than 100 hours of behind-the-scenes footage and produced with the full support of Jackson’s family, “This Is It” chronicles the last three months of the superstar’s life as he sought to stage a series of 50 sold-out comeback concerts at London’s O2 arena. The documentary shows MJ developing the show and rehearsing a number of songs during his final days. “This Is It” is directed by Kenny Ortega, Jackson’s creative partner and the director of the planned O2 stage show. Sony Pictures plans to release the film in theaters for a limited two-week engagement, starting on October 28.
The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards air live this Sunday, September 13, at 9 p.m. ET.
Beginning October 30th, the world will have a front-row seat for Michael Jackson’s final concert, as Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment release Michael Jackson’s This Is It.
This Is It is being produced with the full support of the Estate of Michael Jackson and will be drawn from hundreds of hours of rehearsal and behind-the-scenes footage, captured in high definition with state of the art digital sound as the late singer was preparing for his concert series in London. The film, which will also offer select sequences in 3-D, will provide a unique career retrospective and feature interviews with some of Jackson’s closest friends and creative collaborators.
Mekia Cox has been cast as the Hip and stylish recurring character Sasha in season two of the hit series 90210. Sasha’s a professional DJ who’s into sports, music and having fun.
